YOGA POSE FOR THE MONTH
 by Sophie Rouse

Uttanasana - Forward Bend.

Uttanasana is a great pose to release tension from the spine and clear your mind.
Begin by standing and bend forward with your knees slightly bent. Notice how your back feels. If it's sore stay with your kees bent, otherwise you can begin to straighten them. Listen to your body. Let it guide you. Focus on your breath and with each inhalation rise slightly and with each exhalation let your body relax. Stay for one minute allowing your head and neck to release.
It is more important to release the front of the body rather than stretch the legs.  Any time the head rests lower than the heart, it slows the heart beat, bringing you into a state of relaxation.
To come out of this pose bring your hands onto your hips, breath in and stand up slowly with a straight spine. This is a great pose to do when you get out of the shower in the morning, when you are drying your toes. Your body will be warm and appreciate this beautiful stretch.
A great pose to start the day or end your day.

AWAKEN
POSITIVE THOUGHT FOR THE MONTH by Cheryne Blom

" When you focus on the problem the problem persists, when you
focus on the solution the solution exists".

Very often we get caught up in the problems we are facing and cannot see past them. Begin to ask yourself what is the solution here and you will begin to see a new reality and new opportunities awaken. There is a solution to every problem... we simply need to focus and find it.

What is Life Coaching?

Life Coaching is a powerful one-on-one self-development program designed for anyone who has the desire to want more out of life and is committed to being the best version of themselves. It is a conversation like no other you will have, where you have the playground to discuss any issue on your mind and to be listened to in a way that not many people in your life can offer you. This is known as active, non-judgemental listening which offers you a space whereby your thoughts are reflected back to you helping you gain further insights, new perspectives and greater clarification.

A coach will guide you through a series of questions which take you beyond your blind spots and beyond your comfort zone where you experience growth in a supportive environment. And as we know…life happens at the edge of our comfort zone

A coach will challenge your internal dialogue and belief systems to help you become aware of how you can take control of your reality and the outcomes of your life. Life coaching will help you discover what you want, where you are going to and help you create a plan on how to get there.

You will be able to learn how to let go of the parts of you and the beliefs which no longer serve you and are standing in your way of actualising your full potential.

Life Coaching is very much solutions (not problems) focused and offers you a transformational model to move you forwards. It stems from the belief that we all
hold the resources within to live extraordinary lives and at times may hold certain fears, limiting beliefs and limiting patterns of behaviour which block us from being our authentic self. Very often we may not even know who this authentic self is and may need clarity in that self-discovery.

My role as your coach is to be your tour guide on a journey within a JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE. We journey to your past to understand where some of the beliefs you hold stem from, evaluate your present situation so you can understand who you are, explore your future possibilities to visualize who you can be then jump into our tour bus and get there!

Our unique conversations will open your heart and mind and any limiting behaviours or thoughts will be dissolved. By having a coach by your side empowering you forward you will achieve whatever it is you see possible for yourself and your future! What will be returned to you is an energizing childish enthusiasm... Contagious Enthusiasm!

Specific topics of coaching often explored include: Goal setting, dissolving fears, relationship issues or concerns, career transition, finding purpose, self-empowerment training, communication skills development, assertiveness tools, confidence building, stress management and mindfulness.

Serving you on your journey towards self-discovery,

Legs up the Wall - A great antidote to tired legs and stress

How to:

Grab a bolster or one or two pillows and place near a wall
Lie with your hips or lower back on the bolster and bring your legs up the wall
Play with your position until you are really comfortable
If you have an i-pod play some gentle music to help relax you
Hang out with your legs up the wall for between 10-30 minutes
Benefits:
Legs up the Wall brings immediate relaxation to the body, it calms the nerves, and brings restoration to the mind and body. It helps you to breathe more deeply, bringing longer lasting relaxation. It has also been shown to reduce hot flushes in menopausal women. It refreshes the legs and brings fresh blood to the abdominal organs, assisting in rejuvenation. This is a pose that can be practiced every day, and is wonderful at the end of the day to bring true relaxation to a hectic day.

When you come out of this pose ensure you lie on the ground and let the blood return to your legs.

POSITIVE THOUGHT FOR THE MONTH by Cheryne Blom

This is one of my favourite quotes...
"The Woman who follows the crowd will usually go no further then
the crowd.   The Woman who walks alone is likely to find herself in places no one has even been before."
Albert Einstein

Very often we are scared of people judging us, or we fear being alone or not fitting in. It is amazing what we can achieve when we challenge our fear... Be Brave and have an awesome month! To read more about Cheryne click here
